''The Spirit Parlour'' Is run by Rebecca and Scott.

Rebecca has always verged on being mildly obsessed with the Afterlife. As a (strange) child, she spent hours poring over Arthur C. Clarke books and trying to perform telepathy with her neighbours in the garden shed. Driven by a voracious need to know what comes next, her first experiences as a young nurse caring for the dying, steered her life even further towards spiritual matters. Even as an earthy psychiatric nurse, she finds she cannot escape the knowledge that ''this cannot be all there is''. She believes that, as all with things that pass through the hands of humans, a large amount of paranormal stuff should be taken with a mine of salt but - above and beneath everything - she knows that life goes on.                                                                                    

Rebecca is developing as a medium and owes an awful lot to spirit.

 Scott (being rather a male male) took a bit longer to get to considering the Afterlife. Clearly playing with a spirit as a child (''Mum, who is Charlie that lives upstairs?'') was not enough evidence but in fairness, he went from being to scared to watch ''Most Haunted'' to choosing to sit in deserted and dark churches alone in a matter of mere months! He likes the gadgets (of course) but, considering he is a twenty stone skin head, he too is blessed by a very strong emotional response to the spiritual world!

We may never prove it in this lifetime but we are so happy to try! 

We have dedicated this site to the Victorian Spiritualist movement - whichever side of the argument you fall on, ectoplasm or muslin, those people had a passion to connect and understand that we admire and salute!
